Part-Time Member Services Representative I (MSR I) Newrizons Federal Credit Union - Hoquiam, WA Part-time | On-site | $19-$23/hr DOE The Member Services Representative I (MSR I) serves as the first point of contact for members, delivering exceptional service while processing transactions, assisting with account services, and answering questions about credit union products and services. This role supports member financial needs through accurate, efficient service and contributes to a positive member experience while following established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. This position is scheduled for 20 hours per week, with additional hours required, as needed, to cover staff absences and support branch operations. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome members and visitors professionally, ensuring a positive and helpful experience. Provide prompt, accurate, and efficient service while processing all financial transactions. Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services based on identified member needs. Open new accounts and respond to questions related to account setup, maintenance, and servicing. Communicate with members regarding account activity, including overdrafts, fees, transfers, and account closures. Process and balance daily postings, including direct deposits and loan payments. Issue cashier's checks, money orders, and certificates of deposit (CDs). Complete all new-account documentation, including check orders, eligibility verification, signature validation, welcome letters, and monthly reporting. Assist members with account closures and ensure proper documentation. Balance cash drawer daily; research and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately. Educate members on Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) requirements and procedures. Maintain working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations related to front-line operations. Coordinate with the MSR III to ensure full front-line coverage and consistent, high-quality member service. Share duties with other team members to maintain a clean and professional environment, including routine cleaning of restrooms, work spaces, member areas, and common areas. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Required Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Math aptitude and computer literacy. Cash-handling experience. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Preferred Skills and Experience Bilingual in Spanish and English. Credit union or bank teller experience. Familiarity with state and federal banking regulations. Compensation, Hours & Sick Leave $19-$23 per hour

% on-site position. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 20 hours per week. Additional hours will be required periodically to cover staff absences. Paid sick leave. Position Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Position requires the ability to frequently transition from sitting to standing, including prolonged standing for the majority of the day. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
