Job Description

Position overview Establish the accounting policies, practices, standards and controls of the dealership and supervise the maintenance of all books and records recording dealership assets, liabilities, ownership investments and revenue and expense transactions. Specific duties Prepare information for monthly transmission to corporate. Supervise compliance with taxing authority regulations, the filing of all required tax returns and reports, and the remittance of all tax payments on a timely basis. Supervise compliance with Department of Motor Vehicle regulations, the filing of all required reports, and the remittance of all payments on a timely basis. Distribute reviewed financial reports to management. Investigate any anomalies noted in dealership books and prepare journal entries to adjust accounts and reports to appropriate amounts. Review all reports for accuracy. Distribute reports to dealership managers and assist them with evaluation of dealership performance relative to comparative aggregates. Establish major economic objectives and policies for the dealership and preparation of periodic financial, statistical, and graphical reports that summarize the dealership's financial position and results of operations for each accounting period. Co-ordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures, and analyze report variances. Update forecasts and projections with new information as it becomes available. Prepare special financial analyses as directed by management. Prepare and process new hire packages to include completing drug tests and background checks. Complete weekly and monthly payroll using Paylocity. Maintain timecard records, employee files and all payroll records. Enroll employees in resident, instructor and on-line courses. Reserve hotels, rental cars and make airline reservations as needed. Order office supplies, business cards, banners, janitorial supplies, etc. Balance Bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis. Maintain Line of Credit ensuring all units are paid as sold. Maintain workers compensation records to include first report of injury. Provide required information to auditor for year end audit. Evaluate and ensure accuracy of audit. Prepare monthly blanket report to Insurance Company. Provide required information to auditor for year end audit. Evaluate and ensure accuracy of audit. Prepare year end reporting information for CPA for tax return purposes. Skills required Proficiency with Windows operating system Availability for overtime Familiarity with Microsoft Office 2+ years experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting required Must be insurable on our auto policy Must be able to pass a drug test Dealership experience preferred Benefits Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Retirement plan with company matching Paid time off after probationary period
