Job Description

Controller AndMark Management Company Location:
Northwest Arkansas Position Overview AndMark Management Company is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting across a growing multifamily investment platform. The Controller will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and disciplined reporting across multiple investment funds and operating entities. This role will focus on fund-level accounting, construction accounting, financial consolidations, and coordination of year-end tax preparation with external CPA firms. The Controller will work closely with asset management and executive leadership to support operational performance and financial visibility across the portfolio. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role will support executive leadership with financial analysis related to acquisitions, refinancings, and portfolio performance, helping strengthen the financial infrastructure of the platform as the organization continues to grow. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Key Responsibilities Fund-Level Accounting Oversee fund-level accounting for investments, including equity contributions, capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations Maintain accurate accounting across multiple investment funds and related entities Prepare and maintain detailed schedules supporting fund performance and capital activity Construction Accounting Oversee accounting for development and construction projects Track construction budgets, capital expenditures, and draw schedules Coordinate with development and asset management teams to monitor project financial performance Fund Consolidations Prepare consolidated financial reporting across investment funds and operating entities Maintain accurate multi-entity consolidation schedules and supporting documentation Support preparation of financial reporting for internal leadership Tax Coordination Coordinate year-end tax preparation across all entities with external CPA firms Prepare supporting schedules and documentation required for tax filings Ensure timely delivery of financial information needed for annual tax reporting Accounting Operations & Financial Controls Oversee general ledger activity and monthly close process Maintain strong internal accounting controls and reconciliation processes Ensure consistency and accuracy across all accounting records Budgeting & Financial Support Support annual budgeting across funds and properties Assist with budget versus actual analysis and financial variance review Provide financial information to support asset management decision-making Cash Management & Lender Reporting Monitor cash balances across funds and operating entities Assist with lender reporting and compliance requirements Support refinancing and capital event preparation Systems & Process Improvement Assist in strengthening financial reporting systems and processes Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy Support implementation of standardized financial reporting tools Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required CPA preferred Experience 7-12+ years of accounting or finance experience Experience with real estate investment, multifamily platforms, or private equity preferred Experience with fund accounting and multi-entity accounting structures Experience with construction or development accounting preferred Core Competencies Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills High attention to detail and financial accuracy Ability to manage complex multi-entity accounting structures Strong organizational and financial systems skills Ability to collaborate with operational and executive teams Compensation Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The position includes base salary and performance-based bonus potential.
Pay:
$185,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
