Job Description

Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing effective management and leadership of the accounting function for the Company. This key strategic role is in charge of a broad range of areas including, accounting, internal reporting, internal controls over financial reporting, and team development and oversight.
Principal Accountabilities:
Maintain records in accordance with GAAP, and research technical accounting issues in support of new business initiatives and new / proposed accounting standards.

Oversee month-end, quarterly, and year-end close process.

Oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, state and local taxes, and balance sheet management.

Drive process and systems improvements across the financial organization, including key controls over financial reporting, maintenance of accounting policies and procedures and the chart of accounts.

Provide leadership to organization on all areas of accounting policy, maintenance of internal controls, and manage fiduciary processes and procedures.

Develop capable and effective #1 and #2 team members for all leadership positions and critical individual contributor positions in controllership department.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree6+ years' of experiencePublic Accounting ExperienceMaster's degree (MA, MS, MBA)
PreferredCertified Public Accountant Preferred Preferred Skills:
3+ years of experience in a corporate leadership rolePersonnel management experienceAbility to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
