Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Controller to lead all financial operations for our manufacturing facility in Northwest Arkansas. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will be the primary steward of the plant's financial health, ensuring accurate reporting, rigorous internal controls, and optimized cost management. The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA with deep roots in manufacturing finance, capable of translating complex data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management:
Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Manufacturing Cost Control:
Manage cost accounting systems, inventory valuation, and fixed asset management to drive operational efficiency.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process and provide frequent financial forecasts, including detailed variance analysis against actual performance.
Compliance & Audit:
Ensure adherence to GAAP and local/state/federal tax requirements; coordinate annual internal and external audits.
Operational Partnership:
Act as a "co-pilot" to the Plant Manager, providing financial analysis on capital expenditures, labor efficiency, and production margins.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor the accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and professional development.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree (MBA/MAcc) preferred.
Certification:
Active CPA license is strongly preferred.
Experience:
5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment (familiarity with standard costing is a plus).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders. #IND159 #ZIP
