Search Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for a construction organization in Chandler, AZ. This position will manage project costing, financial reporting, cash flow, compliance, and construction-specific accounting functions across multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

Oversee job cost accounting, accounts payable, and contract billing activities. Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities. Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Manage office vendor contracts, including renewals and updates. Oversee tax filings and state licensing requirements. Review contracts, insurance policies, bonding requirements, and lien waivers to support risk management.

Requirements:

7+ years of construction accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Expert knowledge of construction accounting software such as Procore, Sage 300, or Spectrum Viewpoint; Spectrum Viewpoint experience preferred. Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting. CPA or Certified Construction Financial Professional (CCFP) certification preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation:

$110,000.00

•$145,000.00 per year, based on experience
