Vaco is partnering with a well-established and growing organization to identify an experienced Controller for a direct-hire opportunity. Key Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end/year-end close. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls while driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights that support business growth and decision-making. Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA designation strongly preferred. Here's a more polished and recruiter-friendly version: 10+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership, including serving in a Controller capacity Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Proven expertise in managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and overall financial planning and analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems; ERP implementation and administration experience is highly preferred.
Compensation:
$165k-185k
DOE Schedule:
5 days on site in Phoenix, AZ Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
