Controller

We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in Agoura Hills, California. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the financial operations of both commercial and residential construction projects. Your expertise will drive accurate financial reporting, strategic planning, and effective collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, contracts, and billing processes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to develop financial strategies and monitor cost controls.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts to support organizational goals and project profitability.
• Mentor and supervise entry-level accounting staff, fostering attention to detail and teamwork.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes to maintain accurate financial records.
• Leverage Procore software for efficient financial tracking and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor financial risks and propose mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
