This role is ideal for someone who is currently an Assistant Controller ready to step up, or a newer Controller seeking a growth runway. The environment is still highly manual and complex, so the right person will come in expecting effort, challenge, and the opportunity to build something meaningful. What you will own Lead the accounting close from start to finish, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Oversee AR and AP teams, ensuring accuracy and timely processing while jumping in to help when needed Review and improve processes, document policies, and prepare the team for an ERP implementation in the next 12-18 months Maintain GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness Provide insight into financial drivers, understanding upstream and downstream impacts of decisions Mentor and develop team members; potential to add an Accounting Manager role underneath you What you bring Assistant Controller or early Controller experience in a mid-sized ($200-500M) company 9-10 years total experience Strong GAAP fundamentals, CPA and public accounting strongly preferred International exposure strongly preferred Hands-on leadership style with natural financial intuition - knows not just what to do, but why Interested in hearing more?
