This role provides strategic financial guidance to executive leadership, leads the accounting team, manages financial risks, and ensures the integrity of financial operations to support business growth and profitability. Duties Financial Management & Reporting Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, Payroll, GL, fixed assets). Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. Develop financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management and the Board. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate department inputs. Prepare rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and financial performance reviews. Provide financial modelling and scenario planning to support decision-making. Cash Flow & Treasury Manage cash flow, banking activity, and liquidity planning. Optimize working capital, credit terms, and cash management strategies. Oversee debt compliance and covenant reporting. Audit, Compliance & Controls Ensure strong internal controls and implement improvements as needed. Lead annual external audits and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Maintain financial policies, procedures, and documentation. Leadership & Team Management Supervise and develop the accounting team, providing training and mentorship. Build a high-performing, accurate, and deadline-driven finance department. Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, sales, and procurement. Systems & Process Improvements Oversee ERP/accounting systems and lead process automation and optimization. Maintain accurate financial records and enhance digital reporting tools. Implement best practices for accounting efficiency and accuracy. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Prior experience in financial leadership or controller-level role. Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred. Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or multi-entity environments. Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and job costing. Advanced Excel and financial modelling proficiency.
