Assistant Controller Kern County l On-site Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a corporate accounting environment and is looking for a clear path toward future leadership opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring strong general ledger experience, a solid understanding of budgeting and financial reporting, and experience overseeing key accounting functions including accounts payable and payroll. Compensation & Benefits $120,000 – $140,000 annual salary Comprehensive benefits package Stable and growing organization Career advancement opportunities High visibility within the accounting and finance team Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Manage and oversee accounts payable and payroll functions Review payroll allocations and related accounting entries Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Partner with leadership on process improvements and special projects Support audit requests and other accounting initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong corporate accounting background preferred Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting #LI-AC4 #
