As a family-owned business, we are committed to quality, operational excellence, and long-term partnerships with our employees and customers. The Opportunity This is not a traditional finance role. The Vice President of Finance & Operations will provide executive leadership over both the company's financial functions and its day-to-day manufacturing operations. Working closely with the President and leadership team, this individual will help drive profitability, operational excellence, process improvement, and long-term business performance across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing financial statements in the morning and walking the production floor in the afternoon. What You'll Do Lead all accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions Oversee cash flow management, internal controls, cost accounting, and financial planning Drive operational performance across multiple bakery production facilities Partner with plant leadership to improve productivity, labor efficiency, quality, and profitability Oversee manufacturing KPIs, inventory management, production reporting, and operational performance metrics Lead continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives Partner with purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and production teams to improve operational effectiveness Develop and mentor finance and operational leadership teams Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on strategic and operational initiatives The Ideal Candidate We're looking for an experienced leader who combines strong financial expertise with real-world manufacturing leadership.
Preferred qualifications include:
Senior leadership experience in finance, accounting, and manufacturing operations Background in food manufacturing, commercial bakery, consumer packaged goods, or other high-volume production environments Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and operational KPIs Experience leading multi-site operations and cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive operational performance Collaborative leadership style with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach CPA and/or MBA is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $210,000 - $250,000 , depending on experience Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off and company holidays Executive leadership opportunity with a stable, family-owned organization High level of visibility and direct partnership with senior leadership Opportunity to make a significant impact on both financial performance and operational excellence Why Join Puritan Bakery?
