Assistant Controller

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support accounting operations for a growing organization in Cerritos, California. This role will help maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities, strengthen reporting processes, and contribute to a timely close cycle. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound knowledge of financial controls, and the ability to partner effectively on audit and receivables activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activity for three legal entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and consistently.
• Lead the monthly close process by preparing, reviewing, and finalizing entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Supervise one direct report, providing direction, review, and day-to-day support for general accounting work.
• Monitor accounts receivable posting activity and evaluate aging trends to help maintain accurate balances and timely follow-up.
• Assist with audit coordination by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and supporting year-end review activities.
• Produce and review financial reports to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.
• Support system administration and related accounting process oversight to improve reliability and reporting effectiveness.
