Controller Ledgent Finance & Accounting - 4.0 Commerce, CA Job Details $150,000 - $175,000 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Accounting experience within construction industry Cost accounting analysis Management Bachelor's degree Job order costing Construction industry experience GAAP Revenue recognition Full Job Description Ledgent Accounting & Finance is seeking a strategic, hands-on and detail-driven Controller to join one of our growing construction client's accounting team near Vernon, CA. This hands-on role blends construction/project accounting, cost analysis, and strategic financial oversight.
Responsibilities:
Oversee project accounting, including WIP, job costing, progress billings, and revenue recognition Monitor project margins, identify risks, and partner with Operations to improve profitability Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including labor, materials, and overhead analysis Own month-end close, financial reporting, and audit readiness Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital planning Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes and systems Lead and develop the accounting team while serving as a key business partner to leadership
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience WIP tracking/reporting experience Construction industry is required Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, and cost/job accounting Proven leadership and ability to operate both strategically and hands-on CPA license (+) Sage Intacct (+) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
