Experienced Automotive Controller | Davis, CA Are you an experienced automotive accounting professional ready for your next opportunity? An established dealership in Davis, California is looking for a knowledgeable and ambitious Automotive Controller to oversee dealership accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to management. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to do more than manage the books. You'll work directly with leadership to analyze dealership performance, maintain accurate financial reporting, control expenses, protect dealership assets, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and support the continued growth of the business. What You'll Do Manage the dealership's day-to-day accounting operations Prepare and analyze dealership financial statements Reconcile general ledger, bank, reserve, factory, and floor plan accounts Maintain accurate warranty, rebate, interest, parts inventory, and co-op advertising accounts Prepare and submit required manufacturer and management reports Maintain effective cash management processes and internal controls Assist with financial forecasting and budgeting Monitor revenue and expenses and identify opportunities to improve profitability Partner with department managers to help them understand financial performance Help leadership develop action plans to improve departmental results Protect dealership assets and maintain accurate financial records Ensure dealership accounting processes comply with applicable policies and regulations What We're Looking For Automotive dealership accounting, office management, and/or Controller experience CDK proficiency Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and accounting processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach We're looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the dealership's leadership team and contribute to the long-term success of the business. #AV4
