About Infinity X1 Infinity X1 is a dynamic, rapidly growing consumer goods company dedicated to providing the finest quality products in power management, smart technology, and illumination. As a result of years of research and development, our products offer superior nighttime visibility, extended battery life, and sophisticated adaptive technology. Our products are currently sold through major retailers including Costco, Walmart, and Lowe's. Position Summary We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team. This critical operational accounting leadership role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for the complete oversight of all financial reporting, internal accounting, and purchasing functions. The Controller will be essential in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, the efficiency of our transactional processes, and compliance with our key retail partners. Key Responsibilities The duties of this role include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Financial Reporting & Close:
Manage the monthly and annual closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).General Ledger & Reconciliation:
Oversee all general ledger activity, including inventory and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and detailed account analysis.Cash Management:
Direct all cash flow activities, including monthly bank reconciliation, management of corporate credit cards, weekly supplier wires, vendor payments, cash distributions and preparing occasional cash projections. •Accounts Receivable Management:
Direct and manage the full AR cycle, ensuring timely and accurate invoice submission across both the accounting system and customer portals and timely collection process. This includes leading the process to review and validate all retailer deductions and chargebacks for all accounts. •Accounts Payable & Control Oversight:
Supervise the Accounts Payable function, ensuring all bills are processed and paid in a timely and efficient manner. This involves improving the approval process and maintaining internal controls to ensure payable transactions are valid •Supplier Claims:
Oversee the submission and tracking of all quarterly supplier claims related to product defects and other issues. • Financial Analysis and reporting: Weekly/Quarterly/Annual sales projections and financial reporting. Assist with various financial analysis projects, including detailed gross margin reviews. Preparation of materials for weekly sales projections, quarterly board meeting and annual financial audits and budgets.Pricing & Cost Control:
Own the accuracy of all customer sales pricing and supplier FOB costs to safeguard financial margins.Royalty & Commissions:
Oversee the full process, including the accurate calculation, recording, accrual, and reporting of all royalty and commission liabilities.Costco Marketing Accruals:
Manage and maintain accrual files for Costco marketing programs, regularly updating balances and validating the legitimacy of all related deductions.Order management:
ensure timely processing and execution of all orders, supported by accurate and compliant pricing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. Minimum of 12 years of experience in accounting, proven experience overseeing a purchasing function with at least 7 years in a leadership role. Strong working knowledge ofU.S. GAAP.
Experience in the consumer goods, import, or retail industry is highly desirable, particularly with vendor portals and major retail partners (e.g., Costco, Walmart, Lowe's). Expert-level proficiency in NetSuite, working knowledge of Quickbooks.Competencies Leadership:
Ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting and purchasing professionals.Detail Orientation:
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in complex financial and transactional data.Problem-Solving:
Proven ability to investigate and resolve accounting and purchasing issuesCommunication:
