Job Description
Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Director, Financial Svs
- PAS for their Fountain Valley, CA location.
Responsibilities:
Prepares or oversees the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports related to physician accounts receivable, revenue and expense tracking, budget variance and operational statistics.
Responsible for the month-end balancing process, timely preparation of monthly invoices to clients and practice assistance payments, review of monthly bank statements and reconciliation of physician revenue.
Maintains an efficient and accurate refund generation and tracking system for physician accounts.
Coordinates the annual budgeting process for Physician Services and monitors on-going performance and profitability.
Through cash control and procedural audits of managed physician practices, monitors compliance with policies and recommends improvements as necessary to Operations management.
Responds to physician inquiries regarding financial or accounting issues.
Uses good judgment to refer questions or problems to Vice President, Physician Services as appropriate.
Keeps Vice President informed of all relevant issues.
Coordinates all banking activities and interacts with physician accountants.
Maintains General Ledger accounts and performs Income distribution calculation for contracted physician groups.
Acts as liaison with the Nautilus Corporate Accounting department
Special projects as assigned by the Vice President.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, variance analysis, and operational statistics.

Revenue Cycle & Client Accounting Oversight:
Manage month-end close process, physician invoicing, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and revenue tracking.

Budgeting & Financial Planning:
Coordinate annual budgeting process and monitor ongoing financial performance and profitability.

Compliance, Controls & Audits:
Conduct cash controls, procedural audits, and ensure adherence to financial policies across physician practices.

Client & Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as primary liaison with physician clients and Corporate Accounting; respond to financial inquiries and maintain strong relationships.

Refund Management & Banking Coordination:
Oversee refund processes, track disbursements, coordinate banking activities, and manage general ledger accounts.

Special Projects & Strategic Support:
Lead special projects and analyses as assigned by the Vice President.
Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience:
Five to ten (5-10) years experience in a corporate finance or public accounting environment.
Experienced in the development of financial analysis, reporting and budgeting systems.
Proven quantitative and analytical skills.
Extensive systems knowledge, including PC spreadsheet design (Excel, Access), accounting software packages and word processing.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with a diverse group of co-workers and physicians.
Self-motivation, professionalism, and good judgment.
Superior problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Healthcare experience.
Required Education:
BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
CPA
