CONTROLLER/DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Torrance, CA | On-Site On behalf of our client, a successful growing ambulatory healthcare services provider, we are seeking an accomplished Controller/Director of Finance to lead accounting operations for a growing healthcare organization serving patients throughout Southern California. With eyes on multi-state growth and expansion, this role represents an incredible opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial, collaborative mindset. This is an opportunity for a strong accounting leader who wants more than maintaining the status quo. The Controller will have significant ownership of the accounting function and the opportunity to strengthen processes, controls, reporting, systems, and team performance. As the highest-ranking finance role in the organization, reporting directly to the CEO, this is an operating executive.
What You'll Own:
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual close
  • Financial statements, general ledger integrity, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • AP, AR, cash, fixed assets, and core accounting operations
  • GAAP compliance, internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Annual audit preparation and external auditor relationships
  • Accounting systems, workflow, automation, and process improvement
  • Development and leadership of the accounting team
  • Financial reporting and analysis supporting operational decision-making
What We're Looking For:
  • Progressive accounting leadership experience at the Controller or senior accounting level
  • Strong technical accounting and GAAP expertise
  • Proven experience improving accounting processes and controls
  • Ability to lead strategically while remaining hands-on
  • CPA required
  • Healthcare experience highly valued, particularly infusion, specialty pharmacy, home healthcare, medical services, or other complex healthcare environments Why this role?
