Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Controller to join a globally recognized, design-led consumer brand headquartered in Los Angeles. Reporting directly to the Global Controller, this individual will oversee core accounting operations and lead a growing team of 4+ professionals within a fast-paced, international business environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while driving continuous improvement across close processes, controls, and accounting operations. What You'll Do Lead accounting operations including AP, fixed assets, GL, prepaids, tax, and master data Own monthly close process, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity Strengthen and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Drive a 6-day close target through process improvement and automation Partner with auditors (domestic and international) on year-end audit and compliance Improve ERP/system workflows and implement scalable best practices Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 4+ accounting professionals Support global operations including inventory, manufacturing, distribution, and retail accounting What We're Looking For 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory leadership Strong foundation in US GAAP and financial reporting Experience in retail and/or manufacturing environments strongly preferred Exposure to global accounting (inventory, FX, multi-entity operations) Background in cost accounting and/or consumer products manufacturing a plus Experience with consolidations and multi-divisional reporting strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills Large ERP Experience CPA preferred
