Café Stella is seeking a Restaurant Controller to oversee financial operations across our restaurant and hospitality business. This role will manage accounting processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis to support leadership in making informed business decisions. The ideal candidate has strong restaurant or hospitality accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with ownership, management, and vendors. Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll reconciliation, and cash management Oversee month-end and year-end close Prepare financial statements, P&L reports, and variance analysis Monitor food and beverage cost percentages Track inventory, vendor payments, and cost controls Maintain relationships with vendors, accountants, and external partners Support budget planning and financial forecasting Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements Implement and improve financial systems and reporting processes Provide financial insights to leadership on profitability, pricing, and operations Qualifications 3-7+ years of accounting or controller experience, preferably in restaurants, hospitality, or retail Strong understanding of restaurant financials and cost controls Experience with QuickBooks, restaurant POS systems, and inventory platforms Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets Excellent analytical and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Preferred Experience Multi-unit restaurant or hospitality accounting Inventory and beverage program financial tracking Payroll systems Compensation & Benefits Flexible schedule Dining perks Opportunity to grow with an established Los Angeles hospitality group About Café Stella Café Stella is a beloved neighborhood restaurant in Los Angeles known for its lively atmosphere, classic French-inspired cuisine, and vibrant late-night culture.
