We're currently seeking a Senior Vice President , Affordable Operations to lead a large, high-performing affordable housing portfolio across the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a rare opportunity for an executive who can operate in the boardroom and in the weeds, owning institutional client relationships while staying close enough to day-to-day execution to drive results. The portfolio includes layered affordable programs including LIHTC, project-based Section 8, supportive housing, and local California programs, requiring deep California regulatory fluency and a hands-on operating style. Responsibilities Lead operations for a 80+ property, 9,000+ unit affordable housing portfolio across the San Francisco Bay Area Drive performance across occupancy, NOI, resident experience, compliance, and risk management for a layered affordable book Serve as the executive face for institutional clients, delivering high-touch communication, reporting, and performance narratives Coach, develop, and hold accountable a tenured regional team while maintaining strong operational visibility Partner with regional and corporate leaders to standardize execution and strengthen operating discipline across the portfolio Qualifications Significant California affordable housing operations leadership experience with deep fluency in LIHTC, project-based Section 8, supportive housing, and local programs Proven hands-on operating style with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and drive property-level execution through teams Experience leading large multi-property portfolios at scale, ideally 5,000+ units Strong financial and performance management capability, including comfort with data-heavy institutional reporting Bay Area or broader California market knowledge strongly preferred; relocation-open leaders considered Perks Earn up to $180,000 to $230,000 base with bonus potential and long-term incentive opportunity High-visibility executive role reporting into West Coast affordable operations leadership Relocation support may be available for the right candidate Regional travel across the Bay Area portfolio Full benefits package including all major insurance, 401k, and PTO
