Job Description

Vice President of Finance Our client, a residential real estate development company, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee the accounting, financial planning, and treasury functions for a growing regional division.

Location:

This role is on-site five days per week in the Seattle/Tacoma metropolitan area. This highly visible leadership role will serve as a strategic partner to divisional leadership, providing guidance on business planning, operational performance, capital allocation, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong financial leadership with operational insight and experience supporting real estate development or construction-related organizations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee divisional accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and cash management activities. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial analysis, forecasts, and reporting packages. Serve as a strategic finance partner to divisional leadership on business planning, capital allocation, operational performance, and growth initiatives. Manage budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and periodic financial reforecasts. Analyze revenue, margins, cash flow, development projects, and investment opportunities to support informed decision-making. Partner closely with Operations and Development teams on project performance, budgeting, and acquisition analysis. Coordinate with corporate finance teams regarding financing activities, compliance requirements, reporting standards, and capital needs. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Improve financial systems, reporting capabilities, and accounting processes to support scalability and operational efficiency. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the divisional finance and accounting team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant experience in residential development, homebuilding, or real estate development. Proven experience leading accounting and finance functions for a division, region, or business unit. Strong expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, cash management, and operational finance. Demonstrated leadership, business partnering, and executive communication skills, with experience managing and developing finance teams.
