About the Firm A growing private investment management firm, with deep expertise in both private equity and real estate, is seeking an Assistant Controller to support its fund accounting and reporting function. With a strong national presence and a collaborative culture, the firm emphasizes professional growth, integrity, and excellence in service to its investors. The Opportunity The Assistant Controller will be a key member of the accounting team, working closely with the Fund Controller and senior leadership. This role offers the chance to gain broad exposure to fund operations, contribute to investor reporting, and support strategic initiatives as the firm continues its expansion. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Fund Controller on all aspects of fund-level accounting and reporting Prepare and review quarterly and annual investor reporting packages Manage consolidations, reconciliations, and investment account roll-ups Oversee audits and tax engagements, serving as the primary contact for external partners Ensure accuracy and timeliness of fund financial statements and performance metrics Collaborate with internal teams on cross-functional projects and special initiatives Monitor fund performance and provide analytical insights to leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting, investment management, or public accounting CPA designation (or progress toward) strongly preferred Background in private equity or real estate funds is advantageous Strong understanding of partnership and fund accounting principles Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Compensation $165K-$195K base This compensation range is a good faith estimate of the expected wage range you can expect to be paid upon hire.
