Job Description

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $60.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee month end close activities, financial reporting processes, and general ledger accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial results. Lead and manage accounting staff while providing guidance, training, and performance support. Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions to maintain accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Monitor grant and fund accounting activities to ensure proper reporting, compliance, and adherence to funding requirements. Partner with finance leadership on cash management, audit preparation, and special projects that support organizational objectives.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month end close processes. Previous experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems in a professional accounting environment. Prior experience reviewing accounting transactions, reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries. Ability to supervise accounting personnel and manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.
Qualifications:
Nonprofit accounting experience is preferred. Prior experience managing audits, preparing supporting documentation, and coordinating with external auditors. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
