Job Description

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $135,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Senior Controller in preparing monthly financial statements and maintaining internal controls. Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and tax regulations. Analyze and reconcile selected general ledger accounts and oversee the aging and transactions of assigned balance sheet accounts. Prepare invoicing for agency-wide expenditures and monitor these accounts to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with the CFO, Senior Controller, and Affiliate Accounting Manager in managing and reviewing Affiliate financial reporting.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Have at least 5+ years of work experience in finance, accounting, or business operations, with nonprofit experience being a plus. Possess a Certified Public Accountant license or 2-4+ years of public accounting experience. Demonstrate intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Office applications and ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred). Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
