Job Description
Controller Our client, a data and AI?driven technology company, is seeking a Controller to lead and scale its accounting function as the organization continues its rapid growth.
Location:
San Francisco, CA, or Denver, CO. The position is on?site, five days per week, in either of the company's primary office locations.Job Description:

This role is ideal for a hands?on leader who thrives in dynamic, high?growth environments, enjoys building processes from the ground up, and is comfortable partnering with cross?functional teams.Responsibilities:
Lead the month?end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, ensuring proper application across business activities. Oversee all accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, revenue recognition, and tax?related workflows. Manage and enhance the company's financial systems, with a focus on automation, process improvement, and scalability. Partner with internal teams across Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and Finance to support business initiatives. Coordinate annual audit activities and manage relationships with external audit and tax partners. Maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal standards. Support organizational growth by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and elevate financial reporting capabilities. Manage and develop accounting resources, including external partners and future internal hires.Requirements:
8+ years of combined public accounting and industry experience, ideally within SaaS or technology Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms, including implementing new tools Ability to evaluate and address tax?related considerations and compliance requirements Proven track record of building or managing high?performing accounting teams Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex accounting topics to non?technical stakeholders Hands?on, collaborative approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast?paced, scaling environmentCompensation:
