INTERIM CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Manage and review preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team while supporting day-to-day accounting operations. Ensure proper revenue recognition practices for subscription-based and recurring revenue business models. Review and strengthen internal accounting controls and financial processes. Partner closely with Finance leadership to improve reporting accuracy, forecasting inputs, and operational visibility. Supervise account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet reviews to maintain financial integrity. Support preparation of board-level financial reporting packages and management reporting deliverables. Assist with audit readiness activities and coordinate with external auditors as needed. Evaluate accounting workflows and recommend improvements to streamline processes and reduce manual work. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and assist with implementation of new accounting standards when applicable.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA certification strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with prior Controller or Assistant Controller level responsibilities. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Demonstrated experience managing close processes and leading accounting teams. Prior exposure to high-growth or scaling environments where processes and systems are evolving. Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel capabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to quickly assess financial operations and implement improvements where needed.
