Job Description
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- Advanced Excel skills Key Competencies

- Continuous improvement mindset The Divisional Assistant Controller supports the financial operations of the division by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist in managing the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Partner with divisional leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Analyze financial results and provide insights on trends, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements (if applicable), and corporate policies
- Assist in audit processes (internal and external) and provide required documentation
- Review and maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
- Support cost accounting, inventory controls, and operational finance activities (as applicable)
- Drive process improvements and automation within accounting and reporting functions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and other departments on financial matters
- Assist with special projects, including system implementations, acquisitions, or restructuring initiatives
