Job Description

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills Key Competencies

  • Continuous improvement mindset The Divisional Assistant Controller supports the financial operations of the division by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities.
This role partners closely with divisional leadership and corporate finance to drive financial performance, support strategic initiatives, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies
  • Assist in managing the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Partner with divisional leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Analyze financial results and provide insights on trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements (if applicable), and corporate policies
  • Assist in audit processes (internal and external) and provide required documentation
  • Review and maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
  • Support cost accounting, inventory controls, and operational finance activities (as applicable)
  • Drive process improvements and automation within accounting and reporting functions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and other departments on financial matters
  • Assist with special projects, including system implementations, acquisitions, or restructuring initiatives
