We are expanding rapidly to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to expand into naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts. About the role The Plant Controller at Hadrian plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of one of our automated manufacturing facilities. This individual partners closely with factory leadership to provide financial visibility into operations, drive cost improvements, and establish scalable processes that will support Hadrian's future factory expansions. Success in this role requires strong operational finance and cost accounting expertise, particularly within manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate brings a high level of ownership, analytical rigor, and a solutions-first mindset, with the ability to partner effectively across finance, operations, engineering, and leadership teams to keep factory operations running efficiently. In this role you will + Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of a capex-heavy automated manufacturing facility + Lead the month-end close process for the factory's subsidiary, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting + Analyze local cost drivers and operational levers, partnering with leadership to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement + Establish world-class financial and operational processes that can serve as a template for future factory expansions + Build, grow, and develop a team that supports smooth financial and operational execution within the facility + Partner with the Corporate Controller to implement strong internal controls over key operational and financial processes at the factory level + Support audit requirements related to component inventory and assist in physical inventory counts + Act as a key on-site finance partner, helping local teams solve problems and driving a solutions-first mindset across the organization What we are looking for + 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance + Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, including activity-based costing, cost pools, and allocation methodologies + Experience supporting or participating in ERP planning and system implementations (currently NetSuite) + High ownership and accountability with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment + Excellent analytical and software skills + Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with operational, engineering, and leadership teams + Highly analytical with a change-oriented mindset and comfort working in evolving environments + Must be able to work on-site at our Mesa, Arizona facility + Must hold U.S. citizenship or compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) requirements What will set you apart + CPA or CMA certification + Manufacturing or industrial operations experience + Experience using NetSuite or other mid-market ERP systems + Experience partnering closely with engineering or software development teams + Experience managing or supporting software or systems change initiatives Benefits + Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees + 401k + Relocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need. + Flexible vacation policy ITAR Requirements To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
