Job Description
Position Summary - Pay Range $90,000 - $96,000/Year The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting team. The individual is also responsible for focusing on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely reports, ensuring acceptable levels on internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Essential Functions Must adhere to the company's Service culture - 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Ensures that the P&L is accurate, and reports are delivered to the required department heads in a timely manner. Spear head payroll and own Unifocus accounting functions. Monitors reconciliation of the balance sheet. Monitors all taxes that are required, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued. Monitor the capital planning process by assisting management with the calculation of return on capital improvements. Ensures hotels' compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution of all operational taxes. Provide assistance to management in enforcing compliance on all these items. Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels' financial objectives. Establish and continually audit all internal processes including and not limited to purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, hotel assets, master keys, payroll, and employee records. Assist the Director of Finance with all Accounting related items. Maintain compliance with Hotel policies, standards, and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the hotel. Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications A minimum of 4 years of related progressive experience in hotel Accounting or related field is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
