Job Description
Controller (Contract - 9 Months)Boulder, CO (Onsite / Hybrid)We are seeking an experienced Controller for a 9‑month project with a manufacturing organization based in Boulder. This role will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls, with a strong emphasis on SAP and manufacturing cost accounting.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, and fixed assetsLead month‑end and year‑end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial statementsManage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reportsOversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard cost variancesEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal control requirementsUtilize SAP for financial reporting, analysis, and transactional oversightPartner with operations and plant leadership to support cost control and financial decision‑makingSupport audits and provide detailed financial documentationIdentify process improvements and system efficienciesQualifications10+ years of progressive accounting experiencePrior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience requiredManufacturing industry experience requiredHands‑on SAP experience requiredStrong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory managementExperience supporting audits and complex close processesBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA strongly preferredDetailsContract length: 9 months
