Description We are currently recruiting for a hands-on Controller for a well-established manufacturing organization in Colorado Springs. As the Controller you will own the financial narrative while directly influencing operations, compliance, and decision-making. What you'll own + Oversee and review monthly financials (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) to ensure accuracy and timeliness + Lead and develop a team across AP, AR, invoicing, payroll/HR, and Assistant Controller functions + Support financial operations across multiple entities/subsidiaries + Drive month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules + Ensure compliance across all financial functions: + Taxes and filings + Monthly/quarterly reporting + Insurance and benefits administration + Partner with leadership on cost accounting, job costing, and operational visibility + Play a key role in hiring, training, and strengthening the accounting function What tends to make someone successful here + Strong foundation in financial statement preparation and ownership + Experience in manufacturing environments (cost accounting, job costing, inventory-driven business) + Ability to balance hands-on execution with team leadership + Comfort operating in a fully onsite, high-accountability environment Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance + CPA preferred + ~4+ years of experience preparing full financial statements and managing close + Experience with: + Job costing / cost accounting + AP, AR, invoicing, and collections + Balance sheet reconciliations and audit support + Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) + ERP experience preferred; QuickBooks Desktop a plus + Prior manufacturing experience required Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
