President Job Summary HVAC Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controller to manage the company's accounting operations, and financial reporting. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis, while also overseeing insurance, risk management, payroll, and office accounting staff. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, hands-on accounting professional with strong leadership skills and experience supporting operational and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, payroll, and financial close. Oversee payroll processing, payroll reporting, and compliance with federal and state payroll regulations. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process; monitor departmental budgets and analyze variances. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Develop, document, and improve accounting, payroll, and administrative procedures. Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audits. Oversee business insurance programs, benefits administration, and workers' compensation claims. Support HR-related functions, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, personnel records, and compliance support. Supervise and mentor accounting staff and support positive employee relations. Support daily office operations and administrative functions as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities Develop and maintain the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and review of all department personnel. Develop and maintain a program for sound employee relations with all accounting employees. Provide guidance and direction to accounting employees to assist them in their professional development. Administer the activities of the general accounting, credit, collections and business planning departments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and business operations Public accounting and insurance/risk management experience preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency with Sage accounting system, Microsoft Applications, and computer applications
