This role will oversee core accounting operations across the Americas, guide a team through a period of leadership change, and help ensure accurate, timely reporting for multiple non-plant entities. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, a practical leadership style, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Direct accounting activities for regional entities across the Americas, ensuring timely completion of close cycles, journal postings, and external and internal financial reporting. Provide daily leadership to the accounting function by assigning priorities, removing obstacles, and maintaining steady execution during a transition in department leadership. Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, including the review and preparation of reserves, accruals, debit memos, and other significant entries. Collaborate closely with FP& A, tax, shared services, and regional business partners to deliver accurate financial results and support reporting needs across global operations. Contribute accounting support for selected European entities as needed, helping maintain consistency and responsiveness across international teams. Identify breakdowns in existing workflows and implement practical improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce risk. Monitor accounting procedures and system-based processes to support continuity, accuracy, and compliance in a fast-moving environment. Extensive experience leading accounting and finance operations in a manufacturing or similarly complex business environment. Strong background in month-end close, financial reporting, and the preparation or review of accruals, reserves, and related accounting entries. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience directing teams, managing priorities, and resolving operational issues effectively. Knowledge of budgeting processes, cash flow forecasting, and broader financial management practices. Proficiency with SAP and enterprise resource planning platforms, along with familiarity with accounting systems used in shared services environments. Experience working across international or multi-entity organizations, including coordination with regional and cross-functional stakeholders. Understanding of internal controls, process improvement, and finance transformation initiatives within accounting operations.
