Job Description

Vice President of Finance Our client, a residential real estate development company, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee the accounting, financial planning, and treasury functions for a growing regional division.

Location:

This role is on-site five days per week in the Denver metropolitan area. This highly visible leadership role will serve as a strategic partner to divisional leadership, providing financial guidance on business planning, operational performance, capital allocation, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep industry knowledge with strong financial leadership, operational insight, and the ability to develop a high-performing accounting team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee divisional accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, general ledger activities, treasury, and cash management Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and review financial statements, journal entries, forecasts, and variance analyses Serve as a strategic finance partner to divisional leadership on business planning, capital allocation, operational performance, and growth initiatives Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning activities for the division Analyze revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, and investment returns to identify risks and opportunities for improved performance Partner with development and operations teams on project budgets, financial projections, and investment decisions Coordinate with corporate finance teams on reporting standards, financing needs, covenant compliance, and capital requirements Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with

U.S. GAAP

Improve financial systems, reporting processes, and operational procedures to increase accuracy, visibility, and efficiency Manage, mentor, and develop members of the divisional accounting and finance team

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant experience in residential development, homebuilding, or a related real estate environment Proven experience leading accounting and finance functions for a division, business unit, or comparable operation Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, operational analysis, and

U.S. GAAP

Demonstrated team leadership, executive communication, and business-partnering skills, with the ability to influence operational and strategic decisions
