Our client is seeking a hands-on, mission-focused Vice President of Finance to join their leadership team and play a critical role in advancing the financial health and long-term sustainability of their growing non-profit organization. What You'll Do:
As VP of Finance, you will oversee the organization's financial operations while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities include:
Lead financial reporting and present financial results to the Board of Directors Manage the month-end close process, annual budgeting, and forecasting Track donations, grants, and capital campaign expenditures Process bi-weekly payroll and oversee related reporting Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and manage annual audits Oversee employee benefits administration Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and cash flow Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting standards and reporting requirements Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and reporting accuracy
What We're Looking For:
Successful candidates will bring both technical expertise and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7–10 years of progressive non-profit accounting and reporting experience Strong knowledge of non-profit financial statements, fund accounting, and compliance Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills required Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to Boards A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
Salary:
$130-150K, depending on experience #
