About the job Director of Financial Planning & Analysis Onsite | Denver, CO CB Partners is partnering with a well-established, privately held real estate development organization to hire a Director of FP&A . This individual will play a critical leadership role in building financial visibility, driving performance insights, and supporting strategic decision-making across a multi-division business. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large data sets, influencing operations, and translating financial information into meaningful business insights in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Lead the company's budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with strategic goals. Analyze monthly financial results, including sales, construction, and cost performance, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Transform complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership. Partner with cross-functional teams such as construction, sales, land acquisition, and purchasing to evaluate performance and explain variances. Provide strategic recommendations focused on improving margins, optimizing costs, and enhancing overall financial performance. Continuously improve forecasting methods, reporting tools, and financial planning processes. Ensure data consistency and integrity across multiple systems and reporting platforms. Conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ad hoc reporting to support key business decisions. Lead and develop team members while collaborating with regional finance leaders across multiple markets. Support executive leadership with reporting packages, presentations, and decision support analysis. What We're Looking For Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret data and influence decision-making. Experience working with large data sets and building meaningful reporting frameworks. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments and levels of leadership. Flexible, adaptable mindset with comfort navigating change in a growing organization. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Effective communicator who can translate complex financial concepts into clear insights.
Experience & Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 7-10+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or accounting roles Prior leadership or team management experience
Preferred:
