Seeking an expert in the realm of finance to lead our comprehensive accounting initiatives. This leadership role will guide the direction of accounting operations including managing ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and overseeing the payroll procedures. Responsible for crafting detailed financial statements on monthly, quarterly, and yearly bases, you will supervise the closure of fiscal periods and ensure adherence to GAAP and company-specific financial frameworks. You will manage job costing systems to support financial accuracy across projects, oversee work-in-progress reports, and collaborate with project leaders to analyze financial health, setting budgets and forecasts accordingly. By monitoring cash flow and anticipating financial risks and opportunities, you will support strategic growth. Crucially, this role involves leading and nurturing an accounting team, enhancing system efficiencies, and spearheading process improvements for optimal reporting capability. Additionally, you will establish robust internal controls and guide compliance with financial regulations, oversee audits, tax duties, and liaise effectively with auditors and financial institutions. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Accounting or Finance, have extensive experience in fast-paced, project-focused environments, and possess robust skills in job costing and financial analysis. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills will be critical for success in this role. Experience in construction or mechanical contracting, particularly in HVAC or plumbing sectors, and professional certifications like CPA or CMA are highly favored.
