Job Description
The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, supports strategic decision-making, and manages the day-to-day accounting functions. This is a full time position at EZ Form, an Amphenol Company, located in Hamden, Connecticut. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable regulations. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes. Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets. Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to audit findings. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership. Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and regulatory reporting. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency. Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Experience leading cross-functional financial initiatives.
