This is a highly visible role within a growing $200M+ distribution company currently navigating an exciting post-merger transformation. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Controller will play a critical role in financial oversight, process integration, and strategic decision-making while helping shape the future of a thriving organization. High-impact leadership role within a $200M+ organization Direct access to executive ownership and key decision-makers Opportunity to drive finance integration during a pivotal transformation Newly rebuilt headquarters campus in Meriden Stable, family-owned company with an outstanding reputation Fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment Strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and teamwork Financially sound organization with excellent banking relationships Energetic and engaging industry with long-term growth potential Key Responsibilities Lead all GAAP accounting and financial reporting activities Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Review journal entries and maintain the integrity of financial statements Manage bank reporting requirements and loan covenant compliance Serve as the primary liaison with external CPA firms and auditors Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning initiatives Optimize treasury management and banking relationships Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls Support business integration and financial harmonization efforts following recent organizational growth Ideal Background Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA preferred Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience Strong GAAP accounting knowledge Experience within distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or other high-volume transaction environments Background managing financial reporting, audits, treasury, budgeting, and forecasting Proven leadership experience overseeing accounting teams Ability to thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
