Job Description

Role Purpose This role is responsible for accurate paperwork completion, general ledger reconciliation, and staff development. Leadership This role leads the Assistant Office Manager, DMV specialist, and bookkeeper positions. Core Accountabilities Complete/supervise/review of all daily paperwork to prepare daily reports for senior management. Ensure weekly sales department and office payroll information is completed and sent to Payroll Dept. Ensure that monthly bonuses are completed accurately and in a timely manner and the information is disseminated to the respective managers. Ensure that all Balance sheet accounts are reviewed on a monthly basis. Ensure that monthly reports for the FST meetings are completed and reviewed in a timely manner. Be prepared to discuss "exception" reporting at these meetings. Prepare, review, analyze and submit monthly manufacturer financial statements in a timely manner. Prepare/review/submit monthly and quarterly reports required by the state of CT in a timely manner. Develop and prepare 90 day/annual evaluations of direct reports. Maintain an open dialogue with other departmental managers. Assist where possible with their issues and concerns. Ensure that all Year End reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner Ensure all policies and procedures are followed as designated by the Hoffman Auto Group Privacy Act Policy. Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned. Competencies and Qualifications General Accounting/bookkeeping procedures knowledge, including automotive software, factory procedures and knowledge of Excel, three to five years automotive experience. Must be skilled in interpreting data to other members of management. Must have the ability to manage, motivate, teach and develop staff to be effective in their respective positions. Must be flexible, highly organized, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Always leads by example with professional work ethic. Regular on-time attendance is an essential function of this position to meet deadlines.
