Harvest Hill Beverage Company is one of the nation's largest independent branded beverage producers, delivering consistent annual revenue growth, with sales of over $1 billion. The company was formed in June 2014 with the acquisition of Juicy Juice and further expanded with 3 subsequent acquisitions which were consolidated into one company in May 2017. Our portfolio of iconic brands includes SunnyD®, Juicy Juice®, Little HUG®, Daily's Cocktails®, among many other specialty brands. We manufacture, market, and distribute across multi-channels including Grocery, Mass Merchandisers, Warehouse Clubs, Convenience, Foodservice, and Liquor Distributors. Harvest Hill was recently acquired by Castillo Hermanos, a family-owned company and a leader in the Central American and Caribbean consumer market. The acquisition incorporates leading, scalable and complementary brands into the Castillo Hermanos beverage portfolio, giving it immediate access to main US retail outlets. The deal also facilitates the distribution of Castillo Hermanos's brands, meeting nostalgia-driven demand from US Hispanic consumers. Harvest Hill is headquartered in Stamford, CT with a nationwide network of manufacturing and distribution facilities, employing close to 1,000 employees in the United States.POSITION OVERVIEW
The VP Marketing, Juice & Juice Drinks reports into the CMO and will be responsible for leading and managing SunnyD, Juice Juice, and other smaller brands in the Juice Drinks portfolio. As the largest brands for Harvest Hill, SunnyD and Juicy Juice will be the primary focus of the position. The Juice Drinks portfolio also includes Little Hug, Fruit2O, Big Burst, Guzzler, and Veryfine brands.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leadership from a business growth and management, as well as a team & people development perspective. This person thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and embraces a culture of collaboration and teamwork; has experience in and enjoys an entrepreneurial setting and also understands the value of foundation, structure, and process to achieve results in an efficient manner with limited resources. This role requires versatility and a strong ability to contribute across key leadership and marketing disciplines, including:Brand & Portfolio Management:
Develop executable marketing plans with forecastable results that help drive sales, share and profit improvements across the company's categories, and across key trade channels. Enhance the equity of the brands, improving brand strengths that translate to increased sales and share. Evaluate and make appropriate portfolio trade-offs to maximize top and bottom line.Brand Plan Development:
Collaborate with CMO, as well as direct reports to develop and execute comprehensive annual & long term plans that achieve company targets and strategic goals. This will include, but is not limited to, omnichannel marketing and advertising, commercial plans, trade & shopper program/promotions, innovation cadence, consumer research and ongoing "5P" brand management.Leadership:
Provide daily direction and high-quality leadership to the brands' marketing team. Strengthen and maintain a can-do, goal-oriented, entrepreneurial environment that stresses employee performance, accountability, teamwork, management credibility, and success. Cultivate a high-performance team through process, discipline, coaching, and feedback. Gain senior management and peer alignment on all major initiatives and be widely viewed as a value-added marketing thought leader - one who continually makes those around him/her better marketers and leaders.Omnichannel Campaigns & Communication:
Collaborate with CMO managing all creative & media agencies, identifying needs for the brands. Ultimately responsible for SunnyD & Juicy Juice fully integrated marketing campaigns with strong digital fluency, including: Paid Social, SEM & SEO, Influencer Marketing, Organic Social & Content Creation, Paid Media including Connected & Streaming TV and Programmatic Video & Display. Own campaign performance measurement and optimization to ensure strong ROI. Serve as key liaison to creative and media agencies, ensuring strategic alignment and execution excellence. This role will also support the CMO and have heavy input on agency choices & relationship management for the total company.Innovation Go-To-Market:
Strong collaboration with the Sr. Director Innovation to determine strategic intent for innovation and alignment of innovation pipeline. Successfully bring new items to market including collaboration with sales, marketing campaign support development, and ultimately drive new item success in market; monitor & course correct launch as needed.Sales Collaboration:
Collaborate with sales for the commercial success of the brands, and help to position HHBC for success with consumers, at retail and with shoppers. Provide the sales organization with presentation materials for retailer presentations using category management best practices. Collaborate with sales on opportunities for brand growth.Market Analysis:
Utilize consumption-based data analysis and monthly business intelligence updates to keep a pulse and react to overall business health, changes in the marketplace, and tracking of competition. Provide actionable insights and support to the enterprise to better understand market trends and dynamics. Identify opportunities in markets where there are unmet needs.Financial Stewardship:
This leader combines creative vision with analytical rigor to accelerate revenue, expand margins, and maximize ROI. Through business analysis, resource prioritization, and results driven decision-making, this leader ensures every brand initiative drives sustainable value creation and strengthens the brands' financial health.QUALIFICATIONS
The Vice President of Juice & Juice Drinks is a seasoned, growth-oriented marketing leader with 15+ years of progressive experience in branded CPG organizations. This executive blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, driving profitable growth through portfolio management, consumer-centric marketing, innovation, and commercial partnership. A strong general manager mindset, deep P&L ownership, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams are essential. The ideal candidate is equally adept at creativity and analytics, thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, and consistently translates strategy into measurable business results. Experience & Functional Expertise 14+ years of progressive marketing leadership; experience in top-tier branded CPG companies needed, with additional entrepreneurial experiences preferred B.S. in Business or Marketing required; MBA in Marketing or related field preferred Demonstrated portfolio management expertise Success leading fully integrated, digital marketing programs including social, influencer (strategy through execution); experience executing PR a plus. Must have experience managing marketing agencies directly (vs through a shared service internal media team) Experience leading larger teams, including varying degrees of experience; overall people development skills Strong consumer advocate & deep experience in brand positioning and equity, target consumer and segmentation, omni-channel marketing strategy, digital/social media and measurement Adept at translating consumer insights into actionable brand strategy Proven new item go-to-market leadership; ability to leverage brand equity effectively Strong understanding of CPG sales dynamics and key customer/channel management, including e-commerce & omnichannel and retail media Experience partnering closely with commercial and sales organizationsLeadership, Presence & Communication:
