Junior Controller 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars Wallingford, CT Full-time Times Microwave Systems 49 reviews Full-time The Junior Controller will be a key contributor to the accounting and financeteam, responsible for delivering accurate financial insights and supporting strategic business decisions. The Junior Controllerwill be tasked with analyzing operating results, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting process improvements. The successful candidate will demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct regular audits of internal processes and recommend control enhancements to reduce risk and ensure adherence to company policies. Review and confirm new vendor setups to ensure compliance with internal policies. Validate sales order data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment between financial records and operational systems. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, forecast, and prior year; Assist with preparation of monthly financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plan; Assist in the development of internal CRM tool to further understand sales opportunity pipeline. Develop monthly risks and opportunities process with operational management team. Support improvements to Oracle ERP system for enhanced requirements. Assemble and summarize Oracle data to structure detailed reports on financial status/risk. Provide recommendations for procedural improvements across finance. Drive improvements in USG pricing/proposal process. Partner with operations and engineering on capital appropriations/fixed asset requests. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA a plus 5-10years of experience in auditing, general accounting, and/or other accountingroles with a multi-national company Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage several tasks concurrently Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
