Job Description
About MavBrands MavBrands is a privately held group of companies based in Tampa Bay, built around real estate and the businesses that surround it. Our family of companies includes Mavrealty (real estate brokerage), Belleair Title (title and closing services), MavBuilds (construction and renovation), and a growing portfolio of commercial real estate holdings. We're growing quickly and we're looking for a sharp, dependable professional to own two critical functions: keeping our financial operations rock-solid and driving our growth. The Role This position has two core priorities. First, owning the day-to-day financial and administrative execution across every MavBrands entity — this work must be handled with precision, every day. Second — and where real earning upside lives — driving business development across Mavrealty, Belleair Title, and MavBuilds, with bonus potential tied to measurable results. You'll work closely with our Co-Founder and our Controller during a structured onboarding period, with the goal of independently owning the role by the end of the year. As you demonstrate capability, your scope will expand along with your opportunity.
Core Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting (Priority Function) A/R and collections; A/P and vendor management Bank and credit-card reconciliations in QuickBooks Cash-management reporting Full-cycle bookkeeping and entity accounting — including intercompany transactions — across MavBrands' entire portfolio, not just the three operating brands but the affiliated property-holding entities as well Monthly close preparation Payroll and HR administration/coordination Wire/ACH payment processing, following our wire-security protocols Coordinating with our CPA and lending partners on tax and reporting requests Insurance coordination — certificates, renewals, and new-acquisition coverage Maintaining LLC registrations, licenses, and annual filings Maintaining records, controls, and documentation across all entities Following up with tenants, vendors, agents, and lenders when financial items need attention Business Development (Priority Function) Manage Mavrealty's inbound lead pipeline — intake, tracking, follow-up systems, and routing leads to agents Recruit productive agents to Mavrealty and support their success Grow Belleair Title's customer base by building relationships with agents, lenders, investors, and referral partners Develop referral pipelines with home flippers, wholesalers, investors, and other industry partners across all three companies Identify and pursue new opportunities to grow deal flow for Mavrealty, Belleair Title, and MavBuilds Support closings and revenue-producing activity across the portfolio Help source and evaluate new property acquisition and leasing opportunities Property Management Drafting, reviewing, and executing commercial leases (CAM vs. base rent structuring) Managing tenant relationships and coordinating on maintenance issues Managing construction draw requests and contractor coordination Reviewing property-management partner reports Office Management & Administration Running day-to-day office operations, supplies, and vendor relationships Coordinating IT and service vendors Supporting team meetings and events Taking on additional projects as your skill set and our growth allow Who You Are A proven multitasker who can move between financial records and relationship-building without dropping the ball 3-5+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping operations; proficient with QuickBooks (multi-entity experience a plus) Detail-oriented and reliable — the kind of person who makes sure things actually get done Excellent written and verbal communication — you'll represent the company to tenants, vendors, agents, and lending partners Smart, capable, and resourceful — you figure things out Knowledgeable about AI tools and their rapid advancement, and eager to apply them to work smarter Eager to learn, grow, and earn — this role rewards initiative Real estate, title, or construction industry experience is a strong plus Why This Role Real upside: performance bonuses tied to the business you help generate Two-track skill development: financial management + revenue generation Direct exposure to three operating businesses and their leadership, plus a growing portfolio of real estate holdings Room to expand your scope and responsibility as MavBrands grows Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $60,000-$75,000/year, depending on experience Additional performance-based compensation tied to business-development outcomesBenefits:
