Vice President of Finance (CPA Required) Healthcare | Tampa, FL Area | $150,000 - $180,000 A growing multi-site healthcare organization in the Tampa, Florida area is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance to lead its accounting and financial operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned finance leader who enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on execution. You'll play a key role in supporting executive leadership, leading an established accounting team, improving financial processes, and helping modernize the organization's finance function as it continues to expand. What You'll Do
  • Lead all accounting and financial operations across multiple healthcare entities.
  • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal financial controls.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
  • Review bank reconciliations, financial statements, and operational reporting.
  • Partner with executive leadership and physician stakeholders on financial planning and business initiatives.
  • Oversee payroll, workers' compensation, and benefits-related financial processes.
  • Support future accounting and payroll system implementations and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and technology. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Active CPA license is required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
  • Experience leading accounting teams within a healthcare organization.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing financial operations for multiple entities or locations.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounting or payroll system conversions is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with financial automation or AI-driven accounting solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Compensation & Benefits
