Job Overview We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of our approximately 60-person company with four locations. This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working directly with the numbers and performing accounting tasks, rather than solely managing or supervising others. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including ledger management, reconciliations, and financial data entry. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to support business decision-making. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain accurate cash flow management. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure timely month-end and year-end closings. Provide insights on financial performance and recommend improvements to optimize operational efficiency. Support the implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with operational activities. Experience Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior accounting role within a mid-sized organization. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Hands-on experience with accounting software and financial management systems. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed accounting work while maintaining a strategic perspective on financial operations.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
