Position Overview:

The Controller will lead the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities and locations, oversee cash management, budgeting, and compliance activities, and work closely with operations leadership to drive financial performance. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about building scalable processes and financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accounting activities for 10-15 restaurant locations. Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across multiple entities and operating locations. Partner with operations leadership to analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve processes. Partner with Director of Finance to review yearly budgeting. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed. Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, insurance providers, and other financial partners. Review payroll-related accounting entries and support payroll compliance initiatives. Support new restaurant openings, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives through financial planning, systems implementation, and process development. Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and financial workflows to support company growth. Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience as a Controller within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Experience overseeing financial procedures and creating processes. Proficiency with Restaurant365, Microsoft suite, and strong data analysis skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
