Job Description

Job Summary:
Supports Controller by documenting, improving, and leading the month-end close process. This role will also develop knowledge of inventory processes and lease accounting and support the Controller on various projects as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Controller in the direction of accounting functions including journal entries for accruals and allocations, accounts payable invoice review, and expense allocations. Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis. Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing Prepare various support for the annual audit in a timely and accurate manner, while functioning as accounting liaison between the company and auditors. Support accounting department improvements by identifying and implementing lean processes, including automation. Provide guidance and leadership to accounting team members in collaboration with Controller. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent related job experience. CPA certification desired. 5 years of experience in accounting with specific experience working with ERP systems, particularly inventory modules as it pertains to accounting. Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Experience leading accounting teams in a professional manner.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced understanding of GAAP and ERP accounting systems. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, including coaching, performance evaluation and proactive, professional feedback. Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to create and implement effective solutions to problems. Ability to attentively listen and effectively communicate in oral and written format. Ability to be flexible in responding to changing needs.
