Finance & Risk Management Director Starting Salary $145,000 WORK

OBJECTIVE

Serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the City and is responsible for the administration of the Finance Department which includes payroll, accounts payable, investments and budget development. Ensures that City funds are invested in safe, insured instruments, and that the various contracts in which the City is engaged are properly administered. Position is primarily focused on directing, coaching, developing, and evaluating other people. Position requires extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areas that can be used to develop and implement policies and procedures as well as determining efficient and innovative ways to accomplish the City's business strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field; supplemented by ten or more years' progressively responsible experience in governmental accounting, finance, and/or budget administration, including at least three years of supervisory or management experience; master's degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have a valid Florida driver's license. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Public Finance Officer, or Certified Government Finance Officer designation is highly preferred.
