Regional Controller The Regional Controller will serve as a hands-on accounting and finance leader responsible for overseeing financial reporting and accounting operations for a growing, multi-location organization. This individual will lead the regional accounting function, maintain a strong internal control environment, oversee cash management, and partner with Operations and Corporate Finance to support financial performance and continued growth. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with operational finance experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role will also support acquisitions, integrations, systems initiatives, and the continued development of scalable accounting processes. Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and other core accounting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements.
  • Oversee cash management, liquidity tracking, and operating cash across the business.
  • Lead monthly financial reviews and communicate financial performance, key trends, and areas requiring attention.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance and FP&A to analyze financial results and understand budget and forecast variances.
  • Support external audits and coordinate required documentation, schedules, and analysis. Operational Finance & Planning
  • Partner with Operations and Corporate FP&A to develop the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Serve as a finance partner to operational leadership, providing financial insights and supporting business decisions.
  • Identify financial and operational trends, risks, and opportunities and develop appropriate recommendations.
  • Support strategic initiatives and other financial analyses as needed. Systems, Processes & Controls
  • Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment, identifying control gaps and implementing appropriate remediation.
  • Develop and standardize accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Oversee financial systems and integrations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data between accounting and operational platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve reporting, and increase accounting efficiency.
  • Support system implementations, enhancements, and other finance transformation initiatives. Specialized Accounting
  • Oversee accounting for customer and third-party funds, including appropriate reconciliations and controls.
  • Ensure the accurate recording and reconciliation of revenue, deposits, receivables, and other operational transactions.
  • Oversee owner or third-party accounting processes, including statements, settlements, distributions, and related reconciliations, where applicable.
  • Maintain appropriate controls and processes around trust accounting and restricted or custodial funds. Leadership & Growth
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the regional accounting team while establishing clear accountability and performance expectations.
  • Develop cross-training, documentation, and succession plans to strengthen the accounting organization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and other business leaders to resolve accounting and operational issues.
  • Support acquisitions and post-close integrations, including accounting processes, systems, controls, and reporting.
  • Help establish scalable accounting practices that can support continued organizational growth.
